Words you might hear during the wedding or see on this web site

Bedecken
Chattan
Hebrew for "Groom". That would be David in this particular wedding.
Chuppah
Ketubah
Halacha
Jewish law.
Hiddur Mitzvah
Taking a Mitzvah and making it beautiful. The idea here is that since you have to do it anyway, you might as well make it nice.
Kosher
Permissible to eat by Jewish law. This is the (relatively) famous meat-and-milk rule. It's also the reason why the wedding dinner is fish and not meat of some sort - we wanted to have really nice desserts, which meant they had to be dairy, so we couldn't have a meat dinner. Desserts are more important than dinner, anyway.
Kallah
Hebrew for "Bride". E.g. Paige.
Mazal Tov
Hebrew for "Good Luck!" There will be a lot of this being said.
Mitzvah
Literally "commandment", but often translated as "good deed".
Tenaim
Yichud
