Multimedia Application Presentation (M.A.P.) tool for the Zone initiative
This sales tool was one of the most prominent features of The Zone, PricewaterhouseCoopers' Industry Solution Center that provides state-of-the-art demonstration, development and training capabilities. The facility combines the most advanced business practices and consulting services—from business strategy through implementation. My role as Project Lead for this personalizable web-based application included the following:
- supervising teams of up to 12 individuals
- client checkpoint before, during and after project "go live" dates
- developing site information architecture
- drafting project documentation and style guides for client and team
- identifying scope creep issues and risk factors
- creating, standardizing and unit testing Web pages
- working closely with Test to assign and resolve TPRs
- content tracking
- drafting and editing site User Guide materials

The Microsites team created a number of promotional sites for several of PwC's marketing departments. Several of these sites were incorporated into the www.pwcglobal.com site, others were incorporated into kiosks that were on display at the convention sites. All were archived after each event. I participated in all phases of these projects' lifecycles, and my efforts included |
- requirements gathering
- development of site architecture
- content tracking
- engaging in client checkpoint, identifying scope creep and risk factors
- completion of a thorough testing process
- creating, standardizing and unit testing Web pages
- working closely with Test to assign and resolve TPRs
- creating and editing user guide materials
- management of multiple simultaneous projects

MCS Virtual University
The Virtual University (now PwC Learning Link) is a web-based distance learning and knowledge management tool on the PwC Intranet that serves the firm's computer-based and instructor-led training needs. Work with this team included
- information architecture design
- site development and maintenance
- text information design for content
- researching and arranging on-site training opportunities
- creating style guides for Web page development and editing for team members

Paige and David's Wedding

Originally, the site was intended to inform guests of details such as location, hotel and flight information. In the frenzy of wedding preparations, the site expanded to include explanations of the cultural aspects of the ceremony, the proposal story, initial correspondence and irreverent wedding movie reviews.

Vulvar Pain Forum

Site supports a list devoted to the interests of women who suffer from any of a number of manifestations of chronic vulvar pain, known collectively as vulvodynia. The list is intended as a space for open, candid discussion of available treatments and resources, as well as to offer emotional support. The site includes subscription instructions, relevant links and an anonymous list archive. |
